學名 : (Swietenia macropnylla King）

別名 : [[黃花稔]]、[[銳葉金五時花]]。

屬性 : 熱帶常綠落葉樹種。

科別 : 楝科(Meliaceae)桃花心木屬(Swietenia)

原產 : 產於拉丁美洲。

分布 : 分布於墨西哥至巴西東部的大西洋沿岸。

民國前 12 年由日本人攜帶少量種子於恆春林試所試種，其生長迅速良好，於是大量在台灣中南部低海拔地區推廣造林。
