It was filmed in 1984 in [[马泰拉|Matera]] and [[克拉科|Craco]] both in [[巴斯利卡塔|Basilicata]], and Campo Imperatore in [[阿布鲁佐|Abruzzo]], the Lanaitto valley ([[奥列纳|Oliena]]) in [[撒丁岛|Sardinia]], [[意大利|Italy]], and at Pinewood Studios in England.
