米開力·費列羅是費列羅巧克力王國的創始人，於2015年2月去世，享年89歲。米開力·費列羅的父親在第二次世界大戰期間在意大利北部建立了一個糕點店的實驗室，利用榛子來製造最終成為花生醬。 1949年，米開力•費列羅的父親去世，得益於他和他妻子[[瑪麗亞·弗蘭卡]]的有效配合，他成為了二戰後第一個在國外開設生產工廠的義大利糖果業製造商，並讓公司成為國際化的集團。從1957年開始，米開力·費列羅積極發展海外市場，在歐洲，南美，亞洲和澳大利亞不斷拓展。米開力•費列羅有二個小孩，1987年他讓他的兒子[[耶爾·費列羅]]（Pietro Ferrero）和[[喬瓦尼·費列羅]]（Giovanni Ferrero）成為聯合首席執行官。 2011年，自行車愛好者皮耶爾·費列羅在南非的自行車訓練中死亡，開始由喬瓦尼（Giovanni）全職擔任首席執行官一職。
