美国媒体对《'''聯合激情'''》恶评如潮，称之为“近期最不值得观看的影片”。过分的是，连在片中饰演布拉特的演员、《海上钢琴师》的男主角蒂姆·罗斯，也后悔不迭，表示参演该片毁掉了自己的形象。导演弗里德里克·奥伯汀则表示，本来这部片子勉强还能看，但FIFA将片中部分讽刺丑闻的桥段全删了，所以……必须承认，FIFA出品的电影，能拍到影迷、媒体甚至演职人员全部用脚投票，这还真不是随便哪位艺术家能办到的。
