== 故事 ==
故事講述五名青年男女去森林度假屋遊玩，可是卻遇上恐怖血腥事件，遊玩變成被虐殺，但其實這並不是一間普通房屋。正當他們真真正正發現了問題時，事情早就向着超乎想像的方向發展⋯⋯而最後的真相，更癲覆了他們對於這個世界的認知⋯⋯

== 製作歷史 ==
電影在2009年3月於[[加拿大]][[卑詩省]][[溫哥華]]開始拍攝並於2009年5月29日完成。本片是[[德魯·戈達德|Drew Goddard]]首次執導的電影。

[[米高梅|Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer]]在2010年11月3日申請[[破產|第11章破產保護令]]，不過電影仍然以MGM的Spyglass Entertainment名義發行。

喬斯·溫登形容本片是他和Goddard嘗試令驚嚇電影重生之作。二人覺得自從出現了虐待色情電影之後，驚嚇電影已經走下坡。

''屍營旅舍''本來安排在2010年2月5日上映，之後為了將電影改換為3D而延期至2011年1月14日。 不過在2010年6月17日，MGM宣佈由於公司的財政問題，電影的上映日期會無限期延遲。
