1984年考入中国科学技术大学，

1995年5月获中国科学技术大学原子与分子物理专业博士学位，并获得郭沫若奖学金。

==研究方向==
主要研究方向为电子碰撞谱学和扫描探针电子能谱学，开展电子与气相原子分子碰撞的结构与动力学、高分辨分子轨道成像、固体表面扫描探针电子能谱学等方面的实验和理论研究。

==主要贡献==
在Nature Physics、Phys. Rev. Lett.、Phys. Rev. A、J. Chem. Phys.、Rev. Sci. Instrum.等学术刊物上发表论文120余篇，曾获得中国科学院科技进步二等奖、国家科技进步三等奖和安徽省自然科学二等奖等奖项。主持承担了国家基金重点项目、国家重点基础研究发展计划项目课题、国家基金仪器专项和中国科学院知识创新工程重要方向项目课题等多项科研项目。担任ICPEAC国际会议总务委员会委员(2005-2007)，全国原子分子物理学专业委员会委员(2011-)，《原子与分子物理学报》、《原子核物理评述》编委，《Journal of Atomic and Molecular Sciences》Associate Editor等学术职务。
