英国画家格雷厄姆·萨瑟兰于1954年获委托，为时任英国首相的温斯顿·丘吉尔绘制画像，作为丘吉尔80岁寿辰的贺礼^[1]^[2]。

介绍

丘吉尔对此画像感到极度厌恶，因此在西敏厅的公开赠送仪式后，并未有将之展示出来，而是藏于其查特韦尔庄园中^[3]。在其妻子克莱门汀·丘吉尔于1977年死后，人们发现她在获得此画像数月后，已经将之焚毁，以宣泄她丈夫的怒火^[4]。
