基部宽约3毫米，外面疏被短柔毛，萼片蓝色，花瓣和退化雄蕊均为淡黄色，开花8月中下旬。

名字在为中国的植物群科处理的出版之后出现。在有叶肾形方面类似于飞燕草laxiflorum de Candolle， 叶柄并非膨大的在基部，花小，花序稀松的总状， 花梗贴伏短柔毛， 钻形上部萼片圆锥形，13-15毫米的距。
Similar to Delphinium laxiflorum de Candolle in having leaves reniform, petioles not dilated at base, flowers small, inflorescence laxly racemose, pedicels appressed pubescent, spur of the upper sepal conic-subulate, 13–15 mm, ca. 3 mm wide at base, outside pubescent, sepals blue, but differs by having both petals and staminodes yellowish.
