*1118 年，耶路撒冷的鮑德溫一世將這座城市夷為平地，但不久後在吃了一盤當地魚後死於食物中毒。
然而，十字軍東征後統治佩魯西姆的哈里夫普遍忽視了港口，從那時起，長期處於衰落狀態的佩魯西姆幾乎從歷史上消失了。
