1927年搬到倫敦，跟隨父親[[喬凡尼．蓋達]]（Giovanni Gaida, 1862-1939）學習琴藝。其製工細緻優雅，琴身漆成紅色質感精美，Ｆ孔和渦旋琴頭相當漂亮，但是他自己品牌的制琴数量很少。
1991年11月，其制作的小提琴拍卖纪录是11,568美元<ref>{{cite news | url =https://tarisio.com/cozio-archive/browse-the-archive/makers/maker/?Maker_ID=3120| title =切薩雷蓋達 | publisher =tarisio.com | accessdate =2019-03-09}}</ref>。
