Seymour Cray 希穆爾·羅傑·克雷，美國電氣工程師和超級電腦設計師，被喻為「超級電腦之父」。他曾設計了一系列的超級計算機，創立了克雷研究公司，被公認為是超級電腦領域的創始人。
曾任惠普首席技術官的喬爾·伯恩鮑姆這樣評價克雷：「克雷對超級計算機行業的發展功不可沒。現在高性能計算機的許多功能在克雷那個時代看來都是不可思議的，而克雷卻能在當時將高性能計算機構想出來。」[1] 曾任美國伊利諾大學國家超級電腦應用中心總監的拉里·斯馬說道：「他（克雷）是超級計算領域的托馬斯·愛迪生。」[註 1]
