|The year of birth is the Year of the Dragon, one of the twelve Chinese zodiac signs. There were 425,125 births in Taiwan that year, ranking among the top three regarding the number of newborns in previous years. Since then, the birth rate in Taiwan has gradually declined, and the phenomenon of low birth rates has become increasingly severe. In 2020, the Year of the Rat, the total number of births in Taiwan reached a historical low of 165,249.
