复旦大学社会学学士，社会学硕士，美国普度大学西拉法叶分校统计学硕士，社会学博士，复旦大学社会发展与公共政策学院教授 ，复旦大学社会学系副系主任。 主要研究领域涉及文化与宗教社会学、教育社会学、社会不平等、社会科学量化研究方法研究等。是国家“万人计划”哲学社会科学青年拔尖人才、教育部“青年长江学者”，上海市领军人才、社科新人、曙光学者、晨光学者、市社联十大推荐论文获得者，上海市哲学社会科学优秀成果奖获得者。先后在《中国社会科学》、《社会学研究》、《社会》以及"Social Science Research", "Journal of Marriage and Family", "Research in Social Stratification and Mobility", "Journal for the Scientific Study of Region", "Sociological Quarterly", "The China Quarterly"等国内外知名期刊发表论文40余篇（SSCI论文30余篇），出版专著多部。目前担任中国社会学会社会分层与流动专业委员会理事、文化社会学专业委员会秘书长、上海社会学会理事等。
