辽宁田径队是田径场上的另一个焦点，在女子1500米的比赛中辽宁的三名选手进入了决赛，决赛中在最后50米处，马家军成员林娜突然加速，最终超过所有选手夺得冠军，另一名马家军老将董艳梅名列第三。男子10000米的金牌也被辽宁队获得，九运会首枚金牌得主马拉松冠军宫科如愿夺得了他在本届全运会上的第二枚金牌。
