1990年中國科技大學物理系碩士畢業，理學碩士。

1997年德國柏林自由大學訪問學者；

1999年香港科技大學訪問學者。

1990-2000 年，中國科學技術大學，國家同步輻射實驗室，助理研究員 - 副研究員；

1996 年後，負責時間分辨實驗線站工作。

1997 年曾在德國柏林自由大學做訪問學者；

1999 年曾在香港科技大學做訪問學者。

2001-2003 年，中國科學技術大學，量子信息重點實驗室，副研究員負責量子密碼研究室工作；

2004 年以後，中國科學技術大學，量子信息重點實驗室，教授。

科研成就

2022年2月，中科大郭光燦院士團隊的韓正甫教授及其合作者，實現了833公里光纖量子密鑰分發，將量子密鑰分發安全傳輸距離世界紀錄提升了200餘公里，向實現千公里陸基量子保密通信邁出重要一步。
