早年经历
陈粒毕业于上海对外经贸大学，她与吉他手燃、贝斯手虫虫、鼓手薛子通过网络认识，之后组成"空想家乐队"，并担任乐队主唱.
演艺经历
2012年，其所在乐队“空想家乐队”获得“Zippo炙热摇滚大赛”上海赛区冠军 ；同年，随空想家乐队参加“上海迷笛音乐节”并作为开场乐队进行表演 。
2014年，随空想家乐队推出乐队首张EP专辑《万象》，收录了包括《走在通往明天的路上》等在内的6首歌曲；同年10月，陈粒退出空想家乐队单飞，并开始独自做音乐 ；同年，陈粒在全国各地举办了多场个人巡演 ；同年11月，凭借歌曲《奇妙能力歌》获得“网易原创榜”冠军 ；同年，其演唱的歌曲《奇妙能力歌》入围“第四届阿比鹿音乐奖”年度民谣单曲。
2015年2月2日，推出首张个人音乐专辑《如也》，收录了包括《奇妙能力歌》、《不灭》等在内的15首歌曲 ；同年2月5日，凭借歌曲《易燃易爆炸》获得“网易原创榜”第78期榜单冠军 ；同年3月，举行首张个人专辑《如也》的全国巡演；
同年4月2日，凭借歌曲《种种》获得“网易原创榜”第85期冠军 ；同年5月，陈粒首次以个人身份参加了“西湖音乐节” ；同年7月，推出个人民谣单曲《远辰》；同年9月12日，担任好妹妹乐队在北京工人体育场举办的“自在如风万人演唱会的特邀嘉宾 ；同年12月，推出个人单曲《爱若》 。
2016年1月，获得“第五届阿比鹿音乐奖”最受欢迎音乐人（民谣），并凭借专辑《如也》获得年度最受欢迎唱片奖（民谣），其演唱的歌曲《奇妙能力歌》则获得年度最受欢迎单曲奖（民谣） ；同年3月8日，化身“粒粒”并推出首支单曲《幻期颐》 ；同年4月9日，获得“第16届音乐风云榜年度盛典”原创新势力奖 ；同年4月16日，凭借专辑《如也》入围“华语金曲奖”年度最佳国语女新人奖 ；之后，推出个人原创单曲《隐形兽》。
同年6月，担任好妹妹乐队“自在如风”全国巡回演唱会的表演嘉宾并演唱了《易燃易爆炸》、《小半》2首歌曲 ；同年7月26日，推出第二张个人音乐专辑《小梦大半》，收录了包括《怪不得》、《芳草地》等在内的10首歌曲 ；同年9月27日，获得“亚洲新歌榜”年度最佳新锐音乐人奖 。10月，与秦昊、张小厚一同为电影《外公芳龄38》演唱宣传曲《38号大迪曲》 ；11月23日，推出个人单曲《当我在这里》，并作为纪录电影《我在故宫修文物》的主题曲；12月19日，推出个人单曲《周游》。
