林子祥（George Lam，1947年10月12日出生），暱稱阿Lam，香港出生，是香港著名歌手和演員。林子祥
曾就讀於拔萃男書院及英國Dover College，學生時期曾組織樂隊，1980年，他憑《在水中央》及《分分
鍾需要你》兩首歌曲在第三屆十大中文金曲頒獎音樂會連獲兩個金曲獎，成為當年的大贏家。而在1994年
舉行的香港電台第十七屆《十大中文金曲頒獎音樂會》上，林子祥獲頒「[香港樂壇最高榮譽──金針獎]」
。2003年，林子祥獲得CASH音樂成就大獎，是首位唱作人獲得此殊榮。
學生時期曾組織樂隊，1976年推出首張英文專輯《Lam》，其後推出過多張廣東專輯。他亦曾拍過多部
電影，包括《投奔怒海》、《貓頭鷹與小飛象》、《三人世界》等。1983年，他憑電影《投奔怒海》中精
湛的演出，獲提名第二屆香港電影金像獎最佳男主角，惜鎩羽而歸。亦曾在無線電視與汪明荃合作拍攝《
不是冤家不聚頭》、《四季情》等電視劇。他作風低調（曾被冠以「歌隱」之名），給人沉默寡言的感覺
，最令人印象深刻就是他的鬍子
綜觀整個八十年代，在這十年之間，他共有23首歌曲登上香港電台中文歌曲龍虎榜冠軍位置，僅次於[譚詠麟]的28首。
他也是眾多演藝界人士的偶像或最喜愛的歌手，包括[徐小鳳]、[梅艷芳]、[張國榮]、[劉德華]、[關之琳]、[側田]、[方力申]和[吳浩康]等等。
林子祥是香港樂壇最高音的男歌手之一，他天生有一副極具衝擊力和爆破力的嗓音，換句話說就是歌喉
特別「嗆」，幾乎無法模仿。林子祥有一個男中音應有的全部，又在高音區延伸上去一大截。他的高音區
的極限曾去到 D5 或 C5 (比中央C 高八度)。一般的歌手總是用假音拉上去，有些很具實力的歌手即使用
真音拉到高音區，嗓音也會變得尖細單調，很難像阿LAM那樣將高音拉到極限仍是充滿氣勢。[2]
