白耳畫眉是台灣的特有種鳥類，跟其他畫眉鳥家族一樣都擁有好歌喉。牠們嘹亮的「水、水、水酒－」叫聲迴盪在雲霧繚繞的中海拔森林時，非常清新悅耳，因此白耳畫眉又博得了「森林歌手」的雅號。在牠們發現受到干擾及發現天敵在附近活動時，則另外會發出「得得得、得、得......」的警戒叫聲，來提醒同伴注意。<ref name="環資"/>被台中市選為市鳥。[[file:市鳥白耳畫眉.jpg|thumb|right|300px|台中市鳥-白耳畫眉 <br> [https://www.agriculture.taichung.gov.tw/511805/post 原圖鏈接] ]]
==生態習性==
