1983年，香港三洋公司的华山导演一行来到浙江昆剧团，为电影《少林俗家弟子》找演员。何晴在台上练习时一眼就被华导演选中，在《少林俗家弟子》影片中饰演了一个机智勇敢的少女小琴，从此迈上了演艺道路。
