Windows Embedded 8 Industry基于[[Windows 8]]，发布于2013年4月2日 <ref>[https://www.win7china.com/html/18834.html 微软嵌入式系统Windows Embedded 8工业版发布]，Win7之家， 2013-4-3</ref> 。该系统有专业版和企业版两个版本，其中专业版仅供OEM预装至设备，企业版只可通过批量许可渠道获得。企业版还提供嵌入式特定功能，可与Windows 8企业版无缝结合。[[阿拉斯加航空]]的机上[[娱乐]]设备便是使用Windows Embedded 8 Industry。

Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry基于Windows 8.1，发布于2013年10月17日 <ref>[http://www.ce.cn/yd/gd/201310/18/t20131018_1636717.shtml 微软正式发布嵌入式系统Windows Embedded 8.1]，中国经济网， 2013-10-18</ref> 。和8 Industry一样，该系统也提供[[专业版]]和[[企业版]]两个版本。2014年4月16日，微软发布了Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Update（更新）。
