財團法人中華民國佛教慈濟慈善事業基金會（英語：Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation），於中華民國（臺灣）以外之國家或地區稱作臺灣佛教慈濟基金會（Taiwan Buddhist Tzu-Chi Foundation）[2]，簡稱慈濟，是由證嚴法師創辦，經中華民國內政部社會司（今內政部合作及人民團體司）立案的一個全球性佛教慈善團體，其總部位於臺灣花蓮縣新城鄉的靜思精舍。慈濟名稱來源於「慈悲為懷、濟世救人」，其成立初期，即開始從事社會救助事業；時至今日，慈濟已名列當代臺灣佛教四大教團之一。
