<li><b style="margin-right:5px;"></b>1978年 -- 於1978年第二屆威廉瓊斯盃國際籃球邀請賽出戰惠德學院男子籃球隊，被惠德學院總教練在賽前放話「保證不會讓洪氏兄弟的總得分超過30分」，而後洪濬哲與胞弟洪濬正面臨惠德學院球員的雙人包夾、三人包夾與犯規攻勢，兩人的個別得分皆超過30分，誇口言語徹底破功的惠德學院總教練，更在賽後命令惠德學院全體球員列隊向洪氏兄弟敬禮。</li>
