<p ul style="textline-height:36px; margin-left:20px; list-style-indentposition: 30pxoutside; line"><li><b style="margin-right:5px; margin-heightleft:30px5px;">1994年 </b> ，為了參選第7屆[[臺北市議員]]，由[[中國國民黨]]轉投入[[新黨]]。</pli><p li><b style="textmargin-indentright: 30px5px; linemargin-heightleft:30px5px;">1998年 </b> ，高票連任[[臺北市議員]]，成為全國最高票議員。</pli><p li><b style="textmargin-indentright: 30px5px; linemargin-heightleft:30px5px;">2001年 </b> ，代表[[新黨]]競選第五屆臺北市區域[[立法委員]]，但並未當選。</pli><p li><b style="textmargin-indentright: 30px5px; linemargin-heightleft:30px5px;">2002年 </b> ，在第9屆臺北市議員選舉前與鄧家基,黃珊珊一同遭新黨開除，遂以[[無黨籍]]身分參選成功連任。</pli><p li><b style="textmargin-indentright: 30px5px; linemargin-heightleft:30px5px;">2003年 </b> ，重回[[中國國民黨]]並參選成功連任第10、11屆[[臺北市議員]]。</pli><p li><b style="textmargin-indentright: 30px5px; linemargin-heightleft:30px5px;">2009年 </b> ，參與[[2009年臺北市第六選舉區立法委員缺額補選]]黨內初選，失敗未獲得提名。</pli><p li><b style="textmargin-indentright: 30px5px; linemargin-heightleft:30px5px;">2014年 </b> ，宣布退出第12屆臺北市議員選舉，並轉任臺北漁產運銷股份有限公司董事長。</pli><p li><b style="textmargin-indentright: 30px5px; linemargin-heightleft:30px5px;">2015年 </b> ，卸任臺北漁產運銷股份有限公司董事長。</pli></ul>
