卜景超为明崇祯年间进士卜兆麟长子。康熙十一年（1672年）壬子科中举人，康熙十八年（1679年）己未科中三甲进士。

任四川安县知县，历任[[户部江南司主事]]、户部云南司员外郎、礼部主客司郎中，提督贵州学政，晋升为奉政大夫，后补云南永昌道参议。
