1859年生于匈牙利布达佩斯，后师从[[加布里耶．勒姆波克]]（Gabriel Lemböck, 1814-1892），[[扎赫]]（Thomas Zach, 1812-1892）。
1879年在匈牙利德布勒森（Debrecen）建立工作室，1885年搬到布達佩斯，最後回到維也納（Vienna）。他的作品採用古典型制，木材品質極佳，使用璀璨的紅橘色琴漆<ref>{{cite web | url =https://www.amati.com/en/maker/ferenczy-sandor-alexander| title =Sandor (Alexander) Ferenczy | author =John Dilworth | publisher =www.amati.com | language =英文 | accessdate =2019-05-06}}</ref>。
