摩納哥並無軍隊，依據與法國雙邊條約，由法國保護摩納哥領土、主權及獨立性。

官方語言為法語，義大利語和英語亦為通用語言，另有[[摩納哥方言]]。
[[天主教]]信仰佔人口9成。
摩納哥對6-16歲的兒童實行義務教育，教育體制與法國相同。
摩每年都舉辦蒙特卡洛國際雜技節等大量的文化交流活動。摩海洋博物館和研究所享譽世界，此外還有拿破崙紀念館、國家博物館、卡羅琳圖書館、蒙特卡洛歌劇院等文化設施。
