李杨，1959年生，[[陕西]]西安人。1978年考入国家话剧院，1985年考入广播学院导演系。1987年自广播学院退学后，赴[[德国]]西柏林自由大学攻读艺术史。其后，在慕尼黑大学专修戏剧影视理论。1992-1995年，在科隆完成导演硕士学业。
