無莖粟米草（Mollugo nudicaulis Lam.），為番杏科、粟米草屬的一種一年生草本。產海南、廣東。

無莖粟米草形態特徵

一年生草本，無毛。葉全部基生，葉片橢圓狀匙形或倒卵狀匙形，長1-5厘米，寬8-15毫米，頂端鈍，基部漸狹；葉柄長，可達1厘米。

二歧聚傘花序自基生葉叢中長出，擴展，花序梗和花梗鐵線狀；花黃白色；花被片5，長圓形，長2-3毫米，鈍頭；雄蕊3-5，花絲線形，基部不變寬；子房近圓球形，3室；花柱3，極短，外翻。

蒴果近圓形或稍呈橢圓形，與宿存花被幾等長；種子多數，栗黑色，近腎形，具多數顆粒狀凸起。花果期幾乎全年。

Herbs acauline. Leaves all in a basal rosette, sessile; leaf blade elliptic-spatulate or obovate-spatulate, 1-5 × 0.8-1.5 cm, base attenuate, apex obtuse. Inflorescence a dichasium arising from a rosette of basal leaves, spreading; peduncle and pedicel wiry, stiff. Tepals 5, yellowish white, oblong, 2-3 mm. Stamens 3-5. Ovary subglobose, 3-loculed; stigmas 3, very short. Capsule subovoid or ellipsoid, ca. as long as persistent tepals. Seeds numerous, black, subreniform, granulose, 0.5-0.7 mm. Fl. and fr. almost year-round. 2n = 54.

Sandy seashores, open places, ruderal of sandy soils;; low elevations. Guangdong, Hainan [Afghanistan, India, Pakistan; tropical Africa, W Indies (Cuba), Pacific Islands (New Caledonia)].
