作者简介
常任侠（1904-1996），安徽阜阳颖上人，艺术考古学家、东方艺术史研究专家。1931年，毕业于南京国立中央大学文学院并留校任教。1938年，到武汉国民政府政治部三厅从事抗日文化宣传工作，为《抗战日报》编副刊。1945年，应印度泰戈尔之邀，赴印度国际大学讲授中国文化史。新中国成立后，先后任国务院华侨事务委员会委员，北京大学、北京师范大学、中国佛学院教授，中央美术学院教授兼图书馆馆长。主要从事中国以及中亚、东亚、东南亚诸国美术史以及音乐、舞蹈史的研究，对中国与印度、日本的文艺交流史研究做出了开拓性贡献。著作有新体诗《毋亡草》等，艺术史研究著作有《民俗艺术考古论集》、《东方艺术丛谈》、《中国舞蹈史话》等，译述有《印度的文明》、《中国服装史研究》等。[1]
