新须鲸属（学名Cetotherium）是新须鲸科下已灭绝的一属。^[1]

演化

新须鲸类于渐新世开始出现，并且分裂为两类。当中一类包含了新须鲸，从演化角度来看，新须鲸与须鲸科及灰鲸有一些共通的特征。^[2]

科学家一直以来都认为所有新须鲸科的物种在上新世时均已绝种。然而 2012 年的研究提出，小露脊鲸属于新须鲸科且为该科唯一的现存物种^[3]。

从新须鲸类的化石纪录显示新须鲸可能被其他大型掠食性鲨鱼（如巨牙鲨）攻击及猎食。
