Young branches angled or narrowly winged, with medium-sized leaf-bud scales variably persistent. Leaf blade abaxially variably glaucescent. [2]
Staminate flowers: tepals 6 or 7, yellow; stamens 12-19. Fl. Apr-May, fr. Jul-Oct.[3]
