经历
1980-1990年在南开大学生物系学习，
1990年获理学博士学位(昆虫学方向)，随后任教至今。
其中1996年8月至1998年11月赴美国访问和进行博士后工作。
1998年12月晋升为教授。
中国昆虫学会理事，中国昆虫学会昆虫分类学专业委员会副主任，天津市动物学会副理事长，国家自然科学基金委员会生命科学部第九、十届学科评议组成员，《中国动物志》、《动物分类学报》编委。
研究方向
主要采用比较形态学、细胞分类学和分子系统学的方法从事半翅目和双翅目瘿蚊科昆虫的生物系统学、生物地理学和进化生物学研究。
