贡德尔(英语:Gonder),位于衣索比亚西北部阿姆哈拉州(Amhara Region),海拔约2300公尺,南边为塔纳湖(Tana Lake),面积约293平方公里。[1]
简述
贡德尔由Fasilidas皇帝于1636年建立,自1632年至1855年是衣索比亚的首都。[2]
在这200多年间,贡德尔在绘画、音乐、舞蹈、诗歌、建筑等方面蓬勃发展,因而得到“非洲的卡美洛”(Camelot of Africa)的称号。
贡德尔被誉为衣索比亚文明的发源地之一。[3]
根据2015年人口普查,该市人口约323,900人,人口密度1,106(人/平方公里)。[4]

- Debre Birhan Selassie 教堂:衣索比亚最美丽的教堂之一,最初的圆形教堂建造于17世纪伊亚苏(Iyasu I)在位期间。
- 世界文化遗产:法西尔盖比城堡及古建筑(Fasil Ghebbi)。
- Kusquam的Mentewab-Qwesqwam宫。
- Fasilides浴场(英语:Fasilides' Bath;当地人称Fasil Mewagna):每年的1月19日,都会在此举行主显节(当地称为Timkat,意即洗礼)的庆典活动,这也是当今仍保留功能的少数建筑之一。
- 位于塔纳湖北岸,距离贡德尔约70公里的戈尔戈拉(Gorgora)目前仍保存许多文物。
