2006年參加湖南衛視「超級女聲」獲得成都區冠軍、全國總決賽亞軍，並發表首支個人單曲《如果我沒有愛過》。
2007年出演音樂劇《蝶》 ，同年發表首張個人專輯《耳界》。
2008年4月27日在北京首開個人演唱會。
2009年憑藉《遇見》獲得台灣電影金馬獎最佳原創歌曲獎。
2011年獲得第11屆華語音樂傳媒大獎最佳國語女歌手獎。
2012年主演電影《秘密花園》。
2013年發行專輯《烏龜的阿基里斯》。
2015年參加《我是歌手》第三季並進入總決賽；11月，加盟東方衛視《中國之星》，在第三期以一首原創曲目《給你一點顏色》獲得當期冠軍。
2017年12月3日，獲得現代傳播集團第十屆國家精神造就者榮譽稱號 ，加盟2017-2018湖南衛視跨年演唱會。
2019年10月18日，參加第七屆世界軍人運動會開幕式並演唱主題歌《和平的薪火》。
