（1）核酸高級結構及核酸生物學功能的研究，包括：核糖開關RNA和新型核酶RNA的發現，結構和功能以及對基因表達和調控的影響， RNA的修飾及其生物學功能，RNA表觀遺傳學在疾病中和幹細胞中的研究。（2）非編碼RNA和小分子相互作用調控抗生素耐藥性基因的表達。
