历任沈阳建筑工程学院土木工程系,教授,系主任;大连理工大学土木水利学院,教授,院长;大连理工大学建设工程学部,部长;现任沈阳建筑大学副校长。作为负责人曾获国家技术发明二等奖一项,国家科技进步二等奖二项,获得国家专利30余项,出版著作8部,发表SCI论文170余篇,主编与参编规程规范8部。
== 人物经历 ==
1982年、1987年和1990年获学士、硕士和博士学位,并于1990年至1994年分别在大连理工大学土木系和美国弗吉尼亚理工学院与州立大学做博士后研究。兼任具有较高威望的国家自然科学核心期刊《地震工程与工程振动》编委会副主任,核心期刊《建筑结构学报》、《工程力学》等4个学报的编委。还在国内外多种学术组织任职,是国家级有突出贡献的中青年科技专家,享受国务院政府特殊津贴。2000年被辽宁省选为结构工程学科惟一一个中青年学科带头人。首批沈阳市青年专业技术拔尖人才。

多年来李宏男一直从事结构抗震方面的研究工作,开创结构多维抗震理论与设计方法,提出多维地震动随机模型,提出"结构多维随机振动的振型加速度法",与导师王前信研究员共同提出大跨度输电塔体系的抗震计算理论,创造性地开展了房屋结构质量的动态检测及其工程应用、结构减震控制等多个领域内的前沿课题研究,取得了一系列重要成果。

主持了省部级以上科研项目10余项,其中包括国家杰出青年科学基金、国际合作项目、国家重点科研项目、教育部骨干教师基金、国家自然科学基金等。提出一些新的概念和方法,已成功地应用于工程结构的实践中。多次到国内外大学讲学,18次参加国际会议并进行访问,1998年作为大会主席成功地举办了"第五届结构工程青年专家研讨会"。两次到美国做访问教授。撰写了120余篇学术论文,著作 4部,论文被引用70余次。多次获省部级一、二、三等奖。多项成果被鉴定达到国际领先或国际先进水平。2014年获美国土木工程师学会航空分会杰出科技贡献奖。
