=== 國旗與國徽 ===
國旗由[[查爾斯三世]]親王 於1881年 擇定，紅色和白色象徵著格里馬爾迪家族徽章的顏色，也是該家族的故鄉-熱那亞共和國[[紋章]]顏色。

19世紀時，摩納哥的主要收入來源為地中海農業和柑橘出口，1861年當芒通和羅克布倫脫離摩納哥後經濟狀況更是雪上加霜 。隨著[[拿破崙]]的失敗，歐洲的賭博禁令再度頒布，時任親王查爾斯三世意識到著是個契機，便籌畫設立賭場，由於交通的不便利起初並不成功 。1863年蒙地卡羅賭場正式開業，其初衷主要是為王室帶來更多財富並還清債務，但隨後取得巨大的成功。
目前GDP來源為金融保險業、建築及地產業、旅遊業、批發及零售業，在各國人均GDP排名中名列前茅。
摩納哥除本國銀行外，世界各大知名銀行均於摩納哥設有分行。
