小罗伯特·迈克尔·欧黑尔（Robert Michael O'Hare Jr.，1952年5月6日－2012年9月28日）出生于芝加哥，于芝加哥高地长大。他的父母有义大利和爱尔兰血统。是一名美国演员，曾出演舞台剧和电视影集，最为人知的演出是在科幻影集《巴比伦五号》第一季饰演站长。
早年生活
中学就读芝加哥 Mendel 天主教高中，并参与该校的美式足球队，打破医生说他因为气喘不可能加入球队的说法[1][2][3][4][5]。他在学业和运动表现上都得了一些奖项[6][7][8][9] 。
他考虑了加入海军或专业球队，但最后选择就读哈佛大学，主修英语文学[6]，并加入哈佛的美式足球队[10][11][12]。他也加入哈佛的戏剧社团并出演一些舞台剧[13][14][15][16]，他并前往纽约试演一些戏剧[17]。
在1974离开哈佛，到茱莉亚学院(Juilliard School of Drama),专攻戏剧，并曾向演技训练大师桑福德·迈斯纳学习[18]。
事业
欧黑尔曾在许多知名的百老汇戏剧中挑大梁，如重制的萧伯纳《人与超人》[19]艾伦·索金《军官与魔鬼》的原版舞台剧[20]、 契诃夫的《三姐妹》等[21]。
他是第一位获得AUDELCO奖的白人演员，表彰他在一出关于南非种族隔离的戏中表现。[22][23]
他在1980年代主要出现在许多电视影集的客串角色[24] 。在1992年他饰演科幻影集《巴比伦五号》的主要角色。由于精神健康的因素，他在演完第一季后辞演，之后在一些电视影集中偶有客串，并录制了一部广播剧[25][26]。他在2000不再出演戏剧，并很少出现在公众面前。

精神疾病和过世
欧黑尔的精神问题一直到他过世后才对外公开。在1994年拍摄《巴比伦五号》时，他出现严重的妄想症状，影响工作。制作人斯特拉日恩斯基原本提议暂停拍摄，但欧黑尔不希望影响其他人，决定继续拍完第一季后再退出养病。为了避免影响欧黑尔未来就业，斯特拉日恩斯基向他保证将此时永远保密，但欧黑尔认为影迷有权知道，而且希望可以让大众多了解精神健康的议题，所以说只要保密到他过世即可。欧黑尔在病情好转后，在第二、三季回到剧中客串了几集，让角色故事收尾。[27][28]
2012年，欧黑尔在与精神分裂症长期斗争后，因心脏病过世，斯特拉日恩斯基在隔年对外公开此事。[29][28][30]
