何宏平(1967年10月-)，浙江東陽人，中共黨員，畢業於南京大學地質系，中國科學院研究員、博士生導師。

2003-2004年，在法國國立科技大學（INSA-Lyon）從事博士後研究工作。2005年為澳大利亞昆士蘭理工大學訪問學者。2006年8月至2009年4月，任科技處處長。2009年4月至2010年3月，任所長助理兼科技處處長。2010年3月起任副所長兼紀委書記。2021年2月任所長；同年8月1日，中國科學院公布2021年中國科學院院士增選初步候選人名單，何宏平在列。

1967年10月出生，漢族，浙江東陽人，中共黨員，研究員，博士生導師。1989年畢業於南京大學地質系，1991年和1999年分別在中科院地球化學所和中科院地質所獲礦物學碩士和博士學位。2003-2004年在法國國立科技大學(INSA-Lyon)從事博士後工作，2005年為澳大利亞昆士蘭理工大學訪問學者。2006年8月至2009年4月任科技處處長;2009年4月至2010年3月任所長助理兼科技處處長;2010年3月起任副所長兼紀委書記。

兼任中國礦物岩石地球化學學會礦物物理與結構專業委員會主任，《Clays and Clay Minerals》副主編，《礦物學報》、《礦物岩石地球化學通報》編委，曾獲國家傑出青年基金(2007)併入選中科院"百人計劃"。獲廣東省科學技術一等獎(排名第一)、法-中科學與應用基金會(FFCSA)首屆"吉爾·卡恩獎"、 "丁穎科技獎"、"侯德封獎" 、"青年地質科技獎(金錘獎)"、 "中國硅酸鹽學會青年科技獎"、 "中國科學院優秀研究生導師"、"朱李月華優秀導師獎"，併入選"新世紀百千萬人才工程"國家級人選。

2017年10月，當選中國科學院留學人員聯誼會(中國科學院歐美同學會)第一屆理事會副會長 。

主要研究領域為礦物表面物理化學、粘土礦物學、礦物材料。成果主要包括:在國內率先將MAS NMR等技術引入礦物學的研究，從原子水平揭示了粘土礦物表面活性的結構本質，相關成果被國外同行認為是近年粘土礦物研究中的重要進展;建立了有機粘土的分子結構模型及其對污染物的吸附構效關係，用實驗和分子模擬相結合的方法發現並解釋了其中的過渡結構態，相關論文入選"中國百篇最具影響國際學術論文"。已發表SCI論文90多篇、出版專著1部、獲國家發明專利9項，SCI他引1600多次。
