彼特·保羅·蒙哥馬利·布塔朱吉（英語：Peter Paul Montgomery Buttigieg，/ˈbuːtəˌdʒɛdʒ/；1982年1月19日－），美國民主黨籍政治人物，現任美國運輸部長，曾擔任印第安納州南本德市市長，丈夫是名中學教師。[1]2020年12月，即將上台的民主黨籍總統喬·拜登宣布提名布塔朱吉出任新政府的運輸部長，[2]隔年2月2日，參議院經投票確認程序通過對布塔朱吉的人事任命，使其正式就任，成為美國歷史上第一位公開LGBTQ族群身份的內閣首長。[3]

生平

布塔朱吉出生於印第安納州南本德，其父母約瑟夫·布塔朱吉（Joseph Buttigieg）與珍妮弗·安妮·蒙哥馬利（Jennifer Anne Montgomery）皆為聖母大學教授。[4]2004年，他以極優等（magna cum laude）成績畢業於哈佛大學，獲歷史與文學學士學位[5]。2005年夏天，布塔朱吉在突尼斯學習了阿拉伯語[6]。此後他以羅德學者身份赴英國留學，2007年獲牛津大學彭布羅克學院哲學、政治學及經濟學文學學士學位。[5][7]

2009年起，布塔朱吉出任美國海軍預備役（：United States Navy Reserve）情報官。2011年11月，他當選家鄉南本德的市長[8]，當時年僅29歲的布塔朱吉成為了10萬人口以上的美國城市中最年輕的市長。[8][9]2014年，他曾作為海軍上尉赴阿富汗服役。[10]2015年，他公開出櫃。[11]同年，再度當選南本德市長。[12]2018年6月，他與中學教師查斯坦·格雷斯曼（Chasten Glezman, 1989年6月23日-）[13]結婚。[14]

2018年12月，布塔朱吉表示他將不再尋求連任南本德市長。[15]2019年1月，他宣布將角逐2020年美國總統選舉民主黨提名，由此他也成為了歷史上首位公開出櫃的民主黨總統候選人。[16]民主黨首四場初選中，他在愛荷華州以26.2%的得票率領先，在新罕布夏州次於伯尼·桑德斯排名第二，但在內華達與南卡羅來納兩州的名次不佳。2020年3月1日，彼特·布塔朱吉宣布退出民主黨總統初選[17]。 2021年2月2日，美國國會參議院以86票支持、13票反對通過彼特·布塔朱吉出任美國運輸部長。[18]
